Auction Success Story – February

Phenomenal auction result in Plimmerton

11 Motuhara Road is the talk of the town. There were queues out the door at open homes (with buyers undeterred by wind and rain), a total of 180 groups taken through the property, countless incoming enquiries and follow up phone conversations, and literally thousands of views across the digital campaign. The three and a half week campaign kept listing agent Graeme Smith very busy!

This property was evidently well loved by its former owners. Graeme acknowledges that the success of the sale would not have been possible without the sellers efforts. “They presented their property immaculately, right from day one through to auction.”

For the sellers, auction felt like the most open and transparent method of sale. It allowed their potential purchasers to bid comfortably to their maximum. Additionally, the whole event played out in front of them, eliminating the fear of missing out.

A marketing campaign that included both digital and print methods provided the sellers confidence that they reached everyone who was looking. As well as this, many who weren’t even looking were then buoyed into action! For an immaculate family home, perfectly positioned and with incredible views, the high levels of interest came as no surprise.

Graeme consequently had a huge task on hand in preparing the many potential buyers for auction.

Once auction day arrived, 17 bidders fought it out over 48 bids, starting at $1,700,000. Held on site and with the sellers family and friends present, it was an emotional and exciting auction experience.

The result was incredible, with the property selling for $2,840,000. It goes without saying that our sellers were rapt with the outcome.

The sold sign went up, and celebrations were underway immediately!
